Turning Potential into Progress: Equipping Students and Teachers together

India's progress towards universal education is hindered by the persistent challenge of dropout rates. The UDISE+ 2021-22 report reveals that while there has been a decline in the national dropout rate for secondary education (Classes IX-X) from 20.2% in 2014 to 12.6% in 2021-22, the issue remains a significant concern. This represents a positive trend, but the journey towards ensuring that every child completes their education is far from over.

The data further indicates a declining trend in dropout rates over the years, with 17.64% in 2019-20, 21.36% in 2018-19, and 17.90% in 2017-18. However, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-21 resulted in a higher overall dropout rate, highlighting the need for resilient education systems.

At A Square Foundation, we believe that every child, regardless of their background, deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our focus is on empowering government school students with the skills and mindset they need to succeed.

Through our innovative SEL (Social Emotional Learning) programs, we are addressing the critical challenges faced by government schools, such as high dropout rates and limited career aspirations. By fostering emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and social skills, we are equipping students to overcome obstacles and build brighter futures.
